The Queen Mary 2

"Now, see why i married her!!!" - Matt

Our 2 waiters and the Head Waiter. (in order from left to right) Rafal (Polish), Claudio (Polish), Nickolas (Philipino).

Chefs Parade

Bratannia Restaurant (Dinner)

Us
Somewhere out there is where the Titanic sank. Apparently we were close to the site (75 mi N)

Sunset
"No need to watch where i'm going, just need to know where i've been."

We had to pass under the Verasano Bridge, but right in the middle or the mast would hook the bridge and break. If we passed through the middle, we had 10 ft between us and the bridge.

um.........Lady Liberty?! (duh)! otherwise known as the Statue of Liberty. :)

Goodbye New York!!! :(

Ground Zero from the Ship

Police escort

I just had to take a pic of the NY water taxi. ;)

Us

The boat...um...um....ship - Queen Mary 2

Well, this was an unexpected and definitely undeserved blessing. We were able to book a room on the QM 2 for 6 days across the Atlantic for just little more than plane tickets would have cost us (and that's food included!!!).

NYC - The Subway

what the.....
oh my!
ok, that's weird!
taking it a little far.....
Ladies and Gentlemen....he's lost it!!!
I figured this part of our NYC experience needed it's own, seperate department. :/

I'm sure the subway does something to you, changes you somehow, or maybe just brings out the real you. (you pick).

NYC - Central Park and the Empire State Building

Taxi's, taxi's, and um.... more taxi's. it's a swarm of yellow with a black or blue every here and there.
Time's Square

NYC with Ground Zero at 11 o'clock (amidst tall buildings on the "horizon")

Inside Empire State Building

um......Empire State Building

Horse drawn carriages and people on bikes pulling a little cab - could be your trasport.
YUM!!!!!!!!!!!! NYC style Barrito.

The city from Central Park

Balto the sled dog

We left Ground Zero and went for a 'stroll' in Central Park. It was lush and green, on some parts you don't even know you're in the middle of the city. The visibility from the top of the Empire State Building wasn't very good, but you could still see a good deel, includingthe Statue of Liberty.

NYC - Ground Zero

Ground Zero
What the future memorial will look like
Ground Zero
FDNY 10 - the fire department that lost the most men and equipment. they are literally just across the street. You can see ground zero standing inside FDNY 10. In the background is Libery Street's street name that was destroyed by the crash.
